What is a Roller Shutter Door?
Roller Shutter Doors consist of a curtain of interlocking slats that form a continuous hinge along their entire length. Therefore this construction permits the curtain to roll up or down onto a reel that is mounted on steel support brackets. In addition a bottom rail is fitted to the curtain, strengthens the curtain and allows for the fitment of handles and locking devices.
The curtain cannot move from side to side by channels or guides. Therefore our entire assembly is either bolted or welded to the structure and the rolling mechanism is enclosed in a canopy hood.
